In partnership with woodsmoke (bushcraft and wilderness living skills) Bush Mechanics supported this challange event for Guide Dogs for the Blind. Our involvement was as marshalls/guides, there to ensure everyone remained safe while taking on new challenges. The challenge members were split into three teams trying their hands at shelter building, catching and cooking food and lighting fires. The two Dave's (Dave Gunning, Bush Mechanics and Davey Newell, Guide Dogs for the Blind) took on the role of route planning for all three teams, the challenge being the drive to the site, a morning of driving skills and then bushcraft skills and a drive over the fells on the way home.
